“Let go of who you think you’re supposed to be; embrace who you are.”

Brené Brown

Feeling sure about progressing into leadership, but finding it’s taking longer and feeling tougher than you’d like?

There's good reason why the transition into leadership takes time.

Not only is there a growing list of skills and attributes needed for leadership, which is important so that they reflect the ever changing business context and world around us, but there's also a difference between change and transition.

Change
An external change, that can happen quite quickly

For example:

  • Your new job title

  • Your new range of responsibilities

  • Your new position in the team

Transition
An internal change, that happens over a period of time

For example:

  • How you respond to change

  • Your approach and attitude to getting things done

  • A shift in how you think and behave

It’s through your transition that you will start to see yourself as a leader; for example, through how confident you feel, your beliefs in your abilities, and knowing how you best communicate and make your best decisions.

What's great is that it's possible to navigate your transition into leadership smartly and accelerate it too.

Trying to do this alone isn't easy, but having the right help and support makes a world of difference.

Testimonials
Lucy helped me work through the feelings of self-doubt and insecurity I had transitioning from manager to leader and guided me through the sessions with well-placed questions, giving me the space to process and come to the answers I needed. She challenged me to think differently, and often spotted details and connecting themes I missed. Lucy has driven me to become a better and more self-aware leader than before. I’ve made tangible steps forward in how I manage my team, my progression and self-confidence. I would love to have the opportunity to work with her again.
