About Ten Opal Square

I created Ten Opal Square with the purpose of helping to bring a wider variety of leadership styles into leadership teams.

I believe this brings value in so many ways, helping better decisions to be made, allowing for greater innovation, creating healthier work environments and enabling better engagement and retention.

 

The benefits are numerous for both teams and organisations.

I have seen too many people with potential to be excellent leaders and would bring valuable qualities to teams and organisations either discount themselves for leadership roles, or become disheartened with the transition process and stop trying.

It's clear the tides are gradually changing in the diversity of candidates becoming leaders, but it's slow and there's still lots more that can be achieved.

My experience

In my 20 years working in HR within professional services I saw both sides of the promotion process into leadership.

I have spent a lot of time working with Partners on their leadership succession pipelines and designing the development plans linked to support progression.

 

I’ve also been on leadership selection interviews panels, led assessment centres, and been part of the discussions deciding who would be successful and why.

To balance this, I know the energy, dedication and time it takes to progress successfully into leadership, and I have experience in developing and facilitating programmes that prepare candidates for Director, non-equity or equity Partner.
