Hogan Personality Assessments

Hogan personality assessments are designed to predict and positively impact performance as well as build self-awareness, which allows for behaviour change (actions, reactions and interactions).

The insights gained from Hogan assessment are hugely valuable, and can aid development by itself or linked to coaching.

The assessments are unique in that they measure your likely reputation, in other words how you are seen by others.

This may or may not relate to how you see yourself.

There are three Hogan assessments:

  • HPI- the 'bright side' of personality that measures how others are likely to see the individual in everyday situations.

  • HDS - the 'dark side' of personality that measures behaviours that emerge when the person is not actively or effectively self-monitoring (eg in times of stress, boredom, complacency, fatigue). These behaviours can have strengths but also have the potential to risk performance.

  • MVPI - the 'inside' of personality that measures core drivers, motives, and preferences, providing insight into what a person wants out of their life and career.
